There are numerous branches of chemistry. but majorly five branches of chemistry were found which are further divided into almost 40 sub-branches. while chemistry itself is one of the branches of science.

Chemistry is the study of matter, its composition, properties, structure, and energy changes of matter it undergoes. it is related to both living and non-living things as both are made up of matter. it affects all aspects of human life.
Importance of Chemistry in everyday life
Due to the utmost importance in everyday life, there are several branches of chemistry. in fact, everything we do in our life is chemistry. for example, more than 90% of our body is made up of different chemicals. these chemical reactions occur while eating, breathing, or sitting on a bench for reading purposes.
Here are some examples of everyday importance in chemistry:
- our daily food is made of chemicals.
- changes around the world are caused by chemical reactions i.e., cooking food, changing the color of leaves, cutting hairs and nails, etc.
- motor oils, mosquito repellents, mixing household chemicals, bakery products, detergents all are chemicals related to chemistry.
- Proteins, carbohydrates, fats are considered the building blocks of life and all are related to chemistry.
- photosynthesis helps plants to make food for us. in this process, the carbon passes through food chains and sugar from photosynthesis. hence it is modified with other materials.
- the petroleum industry is important for vehicles, fabrics, plastics, and industrial chemicals which is purely chemistry-related.
