The custom is something that develops over time . A newborn baby will not have habits, however, it will not take long for him to develop some behavioral habits. The more time that passes, the more customs a person acquires and, of course, the more ingrained they are to him. In this way, it is possible to say that it is easier for a young person to change their habits and customs in a certain way, than for an elderly person to do so.
The customs that develop within social groups are gradually transmitted from one generation to another, in this way, each culture generates its traditions, which are nothing more than customs shared by a large group of people and are preserved by a very long period of time.
The traditions are practices that are slowly giving identity to different cultures around the world. Below are examples of customs and traditions.

1. Every day at 7 in the morning and before going to work, Mariana gets up, makes a black coffee and reads the cultural section of the newspaper. Being a repetitive behavior, it can be said that this is a custom for Mariana.
2. After dinner, Javier sits alone to watch a good movie, after that he goes to sleep.
3. Marie Antoinette is a secretary in an accounting office and always double-checks documents before filing them . He has done this for the 10 years he has been in business.
4. Octavio drinks a liter of water just before going to sleep . He has had this habit since he was a child since his mother taught him to do so.
5. Luis has an ingrained habit of going to dinner with his friends from work on the first Friday of every month.
6. Laura has a habit of reading a complete story to her daughter before she goes to sleep.
7. Laura and Octavio, since they were married 15 years ago, have done deep cleaning of their house every Sunday.

Examples of traditions
1. In Mexico, every September 15 at night, the celebration of the country’s independence begins , in which there is always typical food, mariachi music, and finally “the cry of independence”, which is given by the President of the Republic from the National Palace. This is an activity that has been carried out by a wide community (the entire Mexican people) for hundreds of years, which is why it is already considered a deeply rooted tradition that will hardly disappear from the culture.
2. Tango: In Argentina, this is the musical genre that is traditionally danced, and is part of the cultural identity of Argentines. It is such a deep-rooted cultural tradition that in 2009 it was declared an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
3. Foods made from corn tortillas are deeply rooted in Mexican traditions. It is a food preparation made with corn dough, and in a circular and flattened shape. The diet of the Mexican is corn, this because it has always been a lot in that region.
4. In Peru, the feast of the Virgin of Candelaria takes place in February . For 18 days, faithful and dancers venerate this virgin in the Church of San Juan. The festival begins 9 days before when the mayordomos fix the temple and organize three masses with banquets and fireworks. On February 2, the Virgin of Candelaria leaves the temple to walk the streets.
5. In Valencia, Spain, the famous “Fallas” (flames, for their Spanish translation) are held. This festival consists of the creation and destruction of ninots (large-scale puppets or dolls), which are made of cardboard, stone, wood and papier-mâché. This party takes place between March 15 and 19.
6. The day of the candles or night of the candles in Colombia, is one of the most important festivities. This feast celebrates the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. It begins with the lighting of the candles or lanterns from December 7 at night. This celebration marks the beginning of the Christmas festivities in the country.
7. In Mexico, there is the tradition of, on January 6 , to get together as a family and break the “rosca de reyes” , a round bread inside which are placed some plastic figures in the shape of a child. All those present cut their own piece and, whoever obtains the plastic figure, must offer a party for all those present on February 2, Candlemas day.
8. Carnivals: In the coastal cities it is customary to carry out the carnival. It is a festival that comes immediately after the Christian Lent in which elements such as floats, costumes, parades and street parties are combined.
9. Wake songs : In Venezuela, when someone dies, a group of men and women sing songs around a cross with flowers. Musical instruments are not used to carry out these songs.
10. The day of the dead: In Mexico, the so-called “day of the dead” takes place on November 2. According to the culture, it is believed that during the early morning of November 2, the spirits come to the world of the living to taste their favorite foods. For this reason, altars are set up with photographs of the deceased, favorite foods and drinks, flowers, among other things. During this day the so-called “pan de muerto” is eaten, and people attend the pantheons to visit their loved ones.
