Nuclear chemistry
Nuclear chemistry is a branch of chemistry that is responsible for studying processes related to radioactivity, changes and properties in different types of matter . This branch covers what is nuclear fission and fusion and the aforementioned changes usually occur naturally or artificially from the nucleus of an atom .
Elements
There are elements that act directly on matter, some of these substances are:

- the radon which is in noble gases and is characterized by having atoms that are not bound and their radioactivity is low,
- Another element is radium , which usually has a white color and when exposed to the surface turns black, it is an alkaline earth metal and is found in uranium mines,
- on the other hand are the actinides which belong to what is known as rare earths.
The nuclear chemistry also includes the study of side effects in living beings such as animals , plants, humans and other organisms because of radiation; Usually its effects occur at the molecular level and alter the chemical components within the organisms, often causing the development of tumors, cancer and other conditions that can be treated with certain treatments, although in overly aggressive changes the treatments may not respond.
The study of this branch allows the development of new more efficient treatments for this type of alterations and not only within the field of medicine but also in the agricultural sector, the industrial sector and biology.
