  8. Carboxylic acids: hydrocarbon chains with one or more R – COOH carboxyl groups .
  9. Ethers: two hydrocarbon chains attached to an oxygen atom R – O – R ‘ .
  10. Esters: In the R – COO – R ‘form , a hydrocarbon chain replaces the hydrogen of a carboxylic acid. Organic salts are considered.
